This painting eludes to a dichotomy that we face in our lives, when we are faced with a choice between good and evil. Our heart is born pure, but over our lifetime, due to the choices that we make (lifestyle, habits, positive vs negative thinking, and so on), we accumulate negatives of character, thoughts and health - that affects our heart and makes it impure. In those times, it’s rather useful t find courage and take time to purge our hearts with those impurities of any kind to start a new life! A rebirth of sorts!
